This page contains a variety of help, tips, and answers to frequently asked questions.
How can I make sure I get the lowest price?
The prices displayed on MagazinePriceSearch.com are all NET prices after the best coupon is applied. On the detail page for each magazine, a table is shown with all prices for all numbers of issues. The stores with the lowest per issue price are displayed first. The lowest price for each number of issues is highlighted in yellow.
How do I know which coupon to use?
The coupon is displayed in the table. Also, when you click through you will be sent to an instruction page reminding you to select the number of issues, whether or not the subscription is a renewal, and which coupon to use.
Why do some stores not offer coupons? Wouldn't it be better to shop from the stores who offer coupons?
Coupons are great ways to save, but it's the NET price after coupons that you need to consider. That's what we display on MagazinePriceSearch.com, so you'll know you're always getting the best price whether the store with the lowest price offers a coupon or not.
Where do I enter a coupon code?
Some coupons are automatically applied when you click through the link. Others must be entered in the shopping cart or during checkout. The field where you enter the code varies from store to store. Some call it a "Coupon Code", a "Promotion Code", or other similar names.
What should I do if my coupon/discount isn't reflected during checkout, or if the price is different than shown here?
Don't place the order. Report the coupon as expired or price as outdated by Contacting Us. Often, we find that the coupon has just been typed incorrectly and we're able to help consumers get the coupon to work. Your feedback on expired coupons and outdated prices helps keep this site as up-to-date as possible. Also, make sure that you click through the links here on MagazinePriceSearch.com instead of going directly to the store, as some stores are providing special prices to our visitors that aren't available if you go directly to the store. Some magazines may not be discountable due to publisher restrictions.
How current are the prices?
Most prices are updated daily. Prices from many stores are updated hourly. Even so, prices usually change on dozens of magazines every day, so it's possible that you'll find an out of date price. In case of a discrepancy, the price on the store's site is the correct one. Also, please make sure that the difference you are noticing isn't due to a coupon. Prices shown on MagazinePriceSearch.com are the net prices after coupons are used.
What should I do if I have a customer service issue?
Call the store directly and try to get the problem resolved. We list contact information for most of the stores, and their customer service departments are usually wonderful at handling problems. If you can't get a problem resolved directly, please let us know. Sometimes we can help, and if too many customers report problems we will remove a store. Please note that if you contact us first, we will instruct you to contact the store.
What can I do to make sure I won't have any problems?
First, make sure that your coupons, discounts, and sale prices are reflected before you finalize your order. Second, save copies of your confirmation page, confirmation e-mail, shipping notice, and any other correspondence.

The cheapest stores are able to offer their great prices because by streamlining and automating their processes and only accepting online orders and credit cards. You might want to have a friend or family member place the order for you.
I'm afraid to use my credit card online. Can I pay some other way?
The stores we track are all reputable stores who use a secure checkout process. You're probably safer using your credit card at these stores than giving your credit card to a waiter at a restaurant. Some credit cards offer the ability to do one-time use credit card numbers, which are even more secure.
Can I pay over the phone?
No. Many of the stores are able to provide such great prices by streamlining their process and using online orders instead of having a large staff of people to answer the phones and take orders.
When will I receive my first issue?
Delivery of the first issue varies tremendously. For a typical monthly magazine, it is usually 6-12 weeks.
How do I renew my magazine?
During checkout, choose the "Renewal" option and make sure to enter your name and address exactly as it appears on your existing magazine label. The publisher should process your order as a renewal and should extend your subscription by 1 year (or however many years you order).
What should I do if I receive duplicate issues?
If you receive duplicate issues, the publisher has processed your renewal incorrectly or wasn't able to match it up. Contact the publisher immediately and give them the information from both labels. They will be able to combine the two subscriptions into one and will usually credit you for any duplicate issues received as well.
Are these prices good for Canadian, Mexican, or Foreign delivery?
At this time, MagazinePriceSearch.com only tracks prices for US delivery. While many of our stores offer delivery outside the US, the prices are usually significantly higher. We do not currently track those other delivery options. We do plan on tracking them in the future, but don't have an schedule completion time for those enhancements yet.
